Parker Stepan
Ranch Manager and Head Guide
Parker’s call to the outdoors has been strong from early childhood. The days he spent afield with his family taught him to love and appreciate the outdoors and how to be a steward of the land. His drive and passion for hunting and fishing has shaped his life. Like his brother Grant, Parker divided his time between the football field as a linebacker and the outdoors hunting and fishing. Having participated in several Safaris, Parker listened to the Professional Hunters he spent time with and closely observed the trackers that assisted him while on Safari. From these experiences, Parker is an accomplished bowhunter having taken multiple species qualifying for the SCI Record Book including some in the Top Ten of the World.
Achieving the Rank of Eagle Scout in 2019, then being the recipient of the Dallas Safari Club Young Hunter of the Year Award in 2020. In 2023 he received the Safari Club International Young Hunter of the Year Award. Parker utilizes the culmination of his knowledge and experiences in the field to best serve his clients.
A graduate of the Texas Christian University Neely School of Business, Parker utilizes his education and lifelong experiences in ranching to undertake the task of Management of the Reserve Ranch.

Jimmy’s mentorship and guidance in developing a World Class Red Deer program has been instrumental in making the Reserve Ranch one of the top destinations for the best Red Stag hunting in North America.
John David Carter
Guide, Sales and Marketing
In my hunting career I always described myself as generalist so it would be very difficult to pick my favorite game to hunt. I was taught to enjoy whatever it is you are hunting that day. It doesn’t matter to me whether it’s time spent in a blind waiting for whitetail, sitting on a bucket leading doves with my trusty 870, or walking a quail course I enjoy being in the outdoors amongst friends and family.
Outside of the ranch I am an active farm and ranch real estate agent, a proud father and husband, member of the Dallas Safari Club, Texas Trophy Hunters Association, and the Knights of Columbus.
