RED STAG
The Pinnacle of hunts offered at the Reserve Ranch, a large multi-tyned stag is a sight to behold. Through a strategic relationship and years of breeding from some of the top bloodlines in the world, we are now offering World Class Red Deer hunting in Texas. Imagine hunting the wild, rugged beauty of South Texas for the best Red Stag in North America an hour and a half from the San Antonio International Airport. Hunting is conducted utilizing a variety of methods such as spot and stalk, from blinds and Safari Style. A limited number of stag hunts are available annually for trophies with SCI scores of 300” to 500”+ therefore an early booking is essential.
WHITETAIL DEER
The Reserve Ranch is home to the iconic Whitetail Deer. The ranch is strategically located in the “Golden Triangle” which is renowned for producing some of the best bucks in the world. More time is spent in the pursuit of this Big Game Animal than any other specie on the globe and some of the finest hunting can be had on the ranch. For over twenty years, the ranch was carefully managed and the result is resident herd of excellent quality. Hunters can expect trophies from the 150” to 250”+ class with a few Management hunts offered each season.
EXOTIC WILDLIFE
The propagation of exotic wildlife in Texas has gone on for nearly a Century and the result has been nothing short of amazing. Landowner-Sportsmen over the years sought to protect some of the worlds most threatened species and significant investments in both time and money have had stellar results. Texas stands as a stalwart in the preservation of many species of big game, many of which no longer have sustainable herds in their native land.
At the Reserve Ranch, we proudly propagate twenty species with an ongoing plan expand the breeding program by adding additional species. Our dedication is to the preservation of big game animals through the funds generated by hunting. This is a proven method of game management that has been utilized by Governments and Private Nature Reserves around the world with positive. If a specie has an economic value it will survive.
WINGSHOOTING
South Texas is known by Sportsmen all over to be high on the list for hunting Bobwhite Quail. Under the guidance of a Wildlife Biologist, a large portion of the ranch brush was sculpted into upland game bird courses. By carefully removing brush, the habitat was improved for the quail thus improving the hunting. Our expert dog handlers along with their team of Pointers and Retrievers will provide you with a most enjoyable and memorable day afield. The Reserve Ranch is licensed by the State of Texas as a private bird preserve therefore our season runs from August through April. In addition to Bobwhite Quail we can offer Pheasant and Chukar hunting as well.

Reserve Ranch with its one-of-a-kind Hacienda sitting on the high bank of the Nueces River and is a magnificent hunting area encompassing five square miles.
Thanks to the staff at the Reserve Ranch for taking care of me and my girlfriends while our husbands were out hunting. We went from lounging by the pool to cruising along the beautiful Nueces River to watching a movie in the theatre. The food, comfort and ambiance were second to none. You all made our trip most memorable.

A third generation American from a lineage of immigrant farmers from Czechoslovakia, there a is a genetic imprint in me to recognize quality land. When I first set foot on the ranch, I knew I was in a special place. The abundance of water, quality turf and soils made me recognize what could be achieved on this canvas. My continued vision is to create a place where “wildlife can flourish, thrive and mature, where man can relax, rejuvenate and be challenged”. Stewardship of the land is something that I hold dear, and I am humbled and honored to be the next Steward of this amazing property. I am ever grateful for my Blessings and equally grateful I am a Texan where I am free to actually be the best Steward of my land possible.
